Browsing the site

The hosting service and security tools process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, requested URLs, and request times to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and investigate problems. Hosting is provided through Namecheap. Wordfence and other security tools may process request information as part of their protection services.

Public account registration and comments are disabled. The current public site has no newsletter signup or on-site checkout.

Videos and cookies

Portfolio pages contain Vimeo players, including videos that load automatically. Loading a player connects your browser to Vimeo and shares connection information such as your IP address and browser details. Vimeo may use cookies or similar storage for playback and security. See Vimeo’s privacy policy.

WordPress uses cookies for administrator sign-in and saved settings. Security services may also use cookies to distinguish ordinary visits from abuse. Browser settings can restrict cookies, although some functions may then stop working.

Email and service providers

Sending an email shares your address, message, and any attachments through the email providers involved. These are used to respond and manage the conversation. Please avoid sending passwords, identity documents, or other sensitive information.

Hosting, email, video, and security providers handle information needed to deliver their services and may process it outside Canada. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect the site and its visitors.

Retention and requests

Technical records and correspondence are kept for site operation, security, responding to messages, and applicable legal requirements. Provider logs and backups can have different retention periods. Contact bakar.exr@gmail.com to ask about information associated with you or to request access, correction, or deletion. Some records may need to be retained for security or legal reasons.

External websites and app stores have their own privacy practices. Changes to this notice will be dated here.

Histogrammer

Histogrammer processes the screen region selected in the app on your computer. It does not send captured pixels, measurements, or notes to Bakar or any server, and has no app account, advertising, or analytics. Notes and exports are saved locally. Exports can contain whatever is visible in the selected region, so review them before sharing. Keep a separate copy of any notes and exports you want to retain before uninstalling. Microsoft Store purchases and installation are handled by Microsoft under its own privacy terms. Support email is handled as described above.
